                                                   Flu Vaccination

Plan ahead to prevent the flu with a flu vaccination !

It's time for you to get your flu shot!  Our commitment is for you to get your flu shots in a timely manner.  We cannot stress how important they are and how strongly we believe you should get one.

In the past you may have had trouble getting your flu shot due to shortages of the vaccine.  But in spite of that, we firmly contend that your flu shot is still your best, most effective protection available to shield you from a deadly flu virus.

Most medical facilities will recommend the high risk people following people to definitely get their flu vaccination:

  • Children aged 6 months to 23 months

  • Adults 50 and over

  • People who have long term illnesses, i.e.. HIV/AIDS, blood disorders, kidney disease, diabetes, lung & heart disease

  • Women who are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant during flu season

  • People who live with or care for people at high risk

  • Health care employees

  • People who care for infants

  • Toddlers who must take aspirin daily

  • People living in nursing homes or other long term care facilities

September and October are the ideal times to get your flu vaccination.  But we do understand that sometimes you won't have access to the vaccine until later.  That's OK though.  You can still be protected through the remainder of the flu season.
